Something a little bit different for the shop as this American cruiser rolls in for an outside repaint. Going to stay totally stock in its factory colour of Fawn and a new vinyl roof.

It’s in the shop and work begins. I quite like this car, nice rumbly little V8, 60’s American styling, what’s not to like?!
First jobs are to disassemble it and strip it back to bare metal. Then seal it up in a good quality epoxy primer. It’s the only way to ensure good, long lasting paintwork.
The bodywork of this car was really quite good. A few small rust repairs and then some filler work before several coats of polyester primer. Lots of sanding followed by more coats of a urethane high build primer before more sanding.
