1967 MG Midget

This little Midget came with the rust repair done by another shop and was bodyworked and painted in PPG gloss black single stage paint. This job was a little easier than most that come to the shop. The metalwork had all been done so there was no need to break out the English wheel, Pullmax power hammer, Bead Roller or any of the other traditional metalworking tools usually used on these jobs. It was just a matter of getting the metal as straight as I could so that the bodywork could be completed with as little filler as possible. Then it was the usual procedure of sandblasting, epoxy priming, polyester primer and lots and lots of sanding before the top coat was applied. After that it was given the normal treatment of colour/wet sanding and buffing. I think it looks pretty good!
